We all sang lead and background vocals but most the time Paul Dewitt was front-man lead vocalist.  After 6 years Dayton Borders was added as full time keyboardist.
We hung out at the beach where they filmed Baywatch.  Yes, the girls all look that thin.
Due to large crowds at free outdoor parties we'd play sometimes (blocking all street traffic), it was put on the books in 3 different cities in Southern California that it was illegal for Osiris to play at any engagement within those city limits.  It's been 25 years and I wonder if those laws are still on the books?  We figured the loss of those cities was worth the PR we got in the newspaper.

Release on a single 45 RPM were Blue Eyes and Sacrifice Your Mind.  Due to inept marketing of Windi Records, Osiris never gained national attention. But because of over 500 shows Osiris was known extensively in Southern California's' 20 million people.

The End Of Osiris
When the record company partners split up, that left Osiris without any representation and no bookings due to legalities. For a solid year after the break up of the record company they could not book us, so we went from about 100 gigs per year to 10 self-promoted, original material concerts instead. Needless to say, that was the beginning of the end for Osiris, because from that point forward it kind of slowly dried up, and eventually we all went our seperate ways.  That was also the year that Music West ended up losing its facility, which left myself without a place to give music lessons (another form of income).  So after six to seven years of making good money in the music business, our streams of revenue dried up.

Originally the band started when Guy Stepp recommended to me to go jam with a drummer (John Salas) at his house.  At the age of 15 we both saw each others gifting and dedication.   Guy used to sell instruments at Gene Leis guitar studio and had recommended a Fender Stratocaster I fell in love with.  So it was only a matter of time till we added Guy as a 2nd lead vocalist/guitarist.  I had to double as a keyboardist mostly using a Hammond B-3 and changing synthizers about twice a year.  Tim Campbell joined the group on bass after the current bass player wouldn't sign the 5 contracts (recording, management, publishing, and 2 more that I can't even remember).  We were already playing some gigs and having wild parties till we had to get serious at age 16.  The manager of the group kept us on a schedule adding 2 new cover songs per week and we ramped up to about 100 gigs per year.  We were popular enough to fill the Fleetwood on our original concert nights with about 2,000 to 3,000 people in Redondo Beach.  So our fan base was Southern California.  Windi records released a 45 RPM but did a horrible job of marketing through radio.  In the last year we added another keyboard player Dayton Borders.
